The husband of Kristin Cabot, the HR executive who went viral after being caught cuddling up with her married boss on a Coldplay kiss cam, has finally spoken out.
Kristin, 52, was filmed swaying in the arms of her boss, Andy Byron, 50, at the Gillette stadium in Massachusetts, just before both realised the camera had landed on them. Their awkward reaction — her gasping and both trying to duck out of view — quickly spread online, becoming meme material.
Her husband, Andrew Cabot, a businessman and CEO of Privateer Rum, has now revealed that he and Kristin were already separated before the viral incident.
According to Andrew, they had been “privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert,” with their divorce process already underway. Kristin officially filed for divorce on August 13, less than a month after the clip made headlines.
According to Daily Mail, the revelation comes after reports claimed Andrew was blindsided by the viral moment, only to find reporters outside his New Hampshire home upon his return from a business trip to Japan.
Court documents also show the couple had attempted mediation before deciding to go their separate ways.
Meanwhile, Kristin had still been wearing her wedding ring in photos as recently as May 2024, raising questions about when exactly things fell apart.
