Apapa Customs sets new record with N20.1bn daily revenue

Apapa Customs has set a new record after generating N20.1 billion in daily revenue, barely 24 hours after Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba assumed leadership of the command.

The figure, achieved through the Unified Customs Management System, also known as B’Odogwu, is now the highest daily revenue collection recorded by any command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

In a statement, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Tunde Ayagbalo, said the feat surpassed the previous N18 billion mark achieved under the former leadership. He reminded officers that such outstanding results were proof of hard work, dedication, and discipline, urging them to aim even higher.

Reacting to the milestone, Comptroller Oshoba described the achievement as only the beginning.

“It’s not time for celebration because I foresee greater exploits for the flagship command of the NCS under my leadership,” he said. “B’Odogwu is a necessity in building a modern and efficient customs administration that strengthens Nigeria’s position as Africa’s largest economy.”

He commended his team and stakeholders for their support, stressing the need for continued focus.

“It’s not the time to clap yet because clapping means removing your two hands from work to celebrate,” he added.
